Testing, testing... 1... 2... 3

This is the start of my Dissertation blog for CI6300 Individual Project at Kingston University, London (K1120044). Just met with my project tutor (Professor Vesna Brujic-Okretic) on Monday 23rd July '14 to discuss potential project ideas. I'd given 4-5 project ideas and have two weeks to come up with a choice plus some key features to implement.

Update on raw draft submittion

Unfortunately, due to not doing Java development since I'd done CO2090 Software Development with Java in the fall of 2012 and also having a workshop assignment due on Sunday 12 October 2014 for CI6110 Programming III (that counts for 5% of the module). My draft submission was about 24h late :( . I felt I had to prioritise the assignment as it would only get worse as the module progressed. I think I did well considering and completed most of the assignment. I've emailed an early draft copy to Vesna just a few moments ago and hopefully if all goes well I'll email an improved copy tomorrow around the same time. Tuesdays are a very long day for me but it's only one year out of my life (Still think TVs, train delays/traffic and queuing will still more of it). System.out.println("Good night world!");

Meeting with Professor Vesna Brujic-Okretic on Wednesday 8th October '14

I met with my project supervisor (Prof. Professor Vesna Brujic-Okretic) on Wednesday 8 October 2014 to discuss my project proposal. I stated that I would like to improve upon a free open source application tracking system (ATS) called YAWIK for a client that I work for called Dartford Grammar School of whom I work for as an ICT Technician since May 2008. I dropped down to part-time employment when starting Kingston University in September 2011.   The program YAWIK is in beta and has a MIT Licence . I proposed that I would like to extend the functionality of this product as their are only two truly open source ATS products. Firstly, I'd like to enable the user to upload a .DOCX file and allow YAWIK to scan through the document and auto populate the NoSQL database with information found on the CV.
